Today’s reading is all about getting enough sleep. According to Dr. Barnard, getting enough sleep is key for sticking to one’s healthy eating goals. He gives a few helpful tips on how to get enough sleep … avoid caffeine, avoid alcohol, and get exercise. Also, he states that eating starchy foods before bedtime will make one sleepy (also why they need to be avoided at the beginning of the day).
Having a four month old determine my sleep schedule probably doesn’t help me much, not that I’m using him as an excuse. I could get in bed earlier. Actually, that’s a good goal to set for myself. I am going to help myself reach that goal, starting tonight.
