Day Thirteen: BEANS.

I knew beans were awesome, but today I learned more about the magical bean. Beans have protein, calcium, iron, fiber, and omega-3s. Beans have the “good” fats that meat (most notably, fish) is known for having. The sheer amount of calcium in some beans makes me wonder why I am even taking a calcium supplement. Americans don’t give beans the praise they deserve, which is probably why I simply had no idea. I love learning new things!

After reading about beans’ glory, I am wanting to make three bean chili!! Ha! Now I have my menu for the next few days: three bean chili, portobello fajitas, and vegan pizza. YUM!
