Cancer is a multimillion dollar industry, what with prescription drugs, chemotherapies, and doctor appointments. What if doctors told their patients that grilled meat, any grilled meat, is filled with carcinogens and could cause and/or exacerbate cancer? What if doctors told their patients that the foods they were eating increased the hormonal level in their bodies, which leads to weight gain, increasing cancer risk? What if doctors told their patients that fruits, veggies, and beans fought cancer? What if.
Research shows that cruciferous foods (amongst them are: kale, bok choy, broccoli, radish, collards, and brussel sprouts) detoxify the blood. The toxins they remove cause cancer. Imagine if cancer patients were prescribed cruciferous foods instead of being prescribed poisonous chemotherapies. Perhaps living with cancer wouldn’t be quite so insufferable?
After reading today’s reading, about cancer fighting foods, I will definitely be incorporating more cruciferous foods into my diet. I will be sharing with my friends and family members. I would yell it from the rooftops if I could. Every single person deserves to live abundantly.
